About
Ipswich General Cemetery is a monumental cemetery first established in the mid-1840’s with the current site boundaries gazetted in 1887. The site is approximately 14.6 hectares in area and contains over 35,000 burials and ashes placements. The site is only available for existing reservations and, in special circumstances, family plot reservations. The cemetery is now closed to new burials.
